As scheduled this week Xiaomi announced the Redmi 6 Pro as the final piece of the Redmi 6 roster.
Xiaomi also refreshed its tablet line with the Mi Pad 4, a slate with a Snapdragon 660, optional LTE and a superb starting price of just €150.
Finally, Xiaomi released a Flame Red color variant of the Redmi Note 5 and a Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition.
Now all of our attention turns to the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which made the rounds this week revealing a mammoth 5,400mAh battery and a Snapdragon 710 chipset. It may go official as soon as next week, making these exiting times for all fans of the Chinese manufacturer.
Meanwhile, Samsung set August 9 as the date for the Galaxy Note9 announcement. After the Galaxy Note9 has had a few months of reign as Samsung flagship the Galaxy S10 series will debut, likely around MWC time in 2019. The Galaxy S10+ could have a triple camera on the back.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL showed us a better look at their designs this week. The smaller phone will have a tall-aspect screen while the XL version will feature a notch.
Moving to later this year - Nokia is expected to release a Nokia 9 with an under the display fingerprint scanner and Apple is expected to ship all three new iPhones in September. As an added bonus there may be a larger Apple Watch in the works.
