Yes, it's finally here.
The OnePlus 7 was easily overshadowed by the 7 Pro, but we feel the vanilla OP7 better reflects the company's ethos. It has most of the 7 Pro's key features at a significantly lower price. And no-nonsense phones with attractive pricing are what brought the OnePlus where it is.
Equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC and an excellent 6.41-inch OLED screen with a minimalist notch, the handset sure makes a compelling offer at €550. The chipset is paired with either 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage.
The camera setup on the back consists of a 48MP f/1.7 main unit with OIS and a 5MP unit for depth sensing. On the front, a 16MP sits on the notch with f/2.0 aperture. A 3,700 mAh battery with support for the OnePlus 20W fast charging powers the whole thing.
The OnePlus 7 is a mild upgrade over last year's 6T specs. However, beyond the chipset and camera, the 7 also brings a set of great-sounding stereo speakers and the next-gen under-display fingerprint reader also found on the 7 Pro.
When you consider that those were among the biggest complaints of 6T owners you can see how it's a very sensible upgrade even if a minor one. As long as it all performs as good in real life as it looks on paper though.
Stay tuned for the full review and see what our in-depth tests show.
