Xiaomi is expected to announce the next version of MIUI 11 based on Android 10 soon and while we wait, we have some revealing screenshots taken from the beta version of the software.
The company accidentally pushed MIUI 11 update to a handful of devices including the Mi Mix 2S and the Redmi K20 Pro so Android enthusiasts picked up real fast. The system image was then made flashable and thus the screenshots emerged.
For starters, MIUI users will get a revamped Settings menu with new styling of the icons. The icons are shaped differently and have varying colors so it's easy to spot what you are looking for.
There's also a new design for the system apps and menus with plenty of white space and big bold text.
Some of the new features that await MIUI users include an enhanced Always-on Display and the new cross-device file sharing feature that the company developed with Oppo and vivo.
The Always-on Display now gives you a ton of options like changing the text color automatically over time, or enable Kaleidoscope with five different patterns or even an outer space style that changes the light depending on the daytime at your location.
Quick replies, dark mode schedule and Always-on Display
In addition, new dynamic sound will be introduced, brand new Xioami Community app, revamped file manager, dark mode scheduler and new quick reply option for some of the messaging apps.
Of course, we expect many more features to be unveiled when the time comes as not all of them are made available from the get-go in this beta release. Some say the MIUI 11 will be introduced alongside the Mi Mix 4.
