Xiaomi is having a massive event on Tuesday, May 26, when it will reveal plenty of devices. We expected to see three smartphones from the Redmi 10X lineup, but now the company posted on its various Weibo profiles more teasers, confirming a new Redmi X TV with MEMC motion and a laptop with 16.1” screen will also appear during next week’s launch.
The TV is going to join the Redmi Smart TV Max - a monstrous 98” 4K TV set, as well as to the 70” Redmi TV, introduced back in 2019. The MECM motion, mentioned by Redmi, is Motion Estimation Motion Compensation, and it compensates the blur by adding artifically generated frames to make a video smoother with no blur to mimic a 120 fps screen.
The laptop is going to have an ultra-thin bezel of the display - just 3.26 mm. This will get the screen-to-body ratio to 90%, while the sRGB color gamut is said to be 100%. Other specs include a Ryzen 4000 processor, although some sources suspect mightier options with Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 solutions.
There are four more days until the event takes place online, and we expect Xiaomi to keep teasing its products, while there is only the pricing and availability left to announce on Tuesday.
