Week 10 in review: Find X3 Pro, ROG Phone 5 launched; OnePlus to partner with Hasselbad
The past seven days saw the debut of some exciting new flagship phones as well as a fair share of leaks and rumors. Asus unveiled three ROG Phone 5 devices - a vanilla, a Pro, and an Ultimate version, all of them with a Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The Oppo Find X3 series also went official with no less than four devices - Oppo Find X3 that is exclusive to China, the global flagship that is the Pro, Find X3 Lite that is a rebranded Reno5 and a Find X3 Neo that is an alter ego of the Reno5 Pro+.
Huawei and OnePlus are also expected to launch new phones. The P50 family will have massive camera lenses for the supposed 1” IMX800 sensor by Sony, while the Japanese company has been working on a custom-made IMX789 for the OnePlus 9 Pro that will be tuned in partnership with Hasselblad.
We also saw the debut of the Xiaomi Mi 10S that resembles the Mi 10 Ultra, but lacks a periscope shooter and a proper flagship chipset - it runs on Snapdragon 870. Rumors about Sony launching a compact Xperia have appeared in the rumor mill once again, but sadly, it might be limited for the home scene in Japan.
