Another week down, let's recap. Huawei confirmed that its P50 series is going official on July 29 and that the phones will launch globally with Harmony OS 2.0.
An official teaser further revealed that the Huawei P50 phones will still use Leica cameras and that at least one model will sport a 125mm periscope lens with an f/3.4 aperture. This seems to be the same lens that was on the P40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro, but rumors are promising new sensors for the P50 generation.
Samsung will allow you to trade in two old devices to get a discount on a Galaxy Z Fold3 5G or Z Flip3 5G. Early prices leaked for the duo, but they seem a bit too high - a 256GB Z Fold3 is listed at €2,038.63, while a 512GB is €2,165.66. A 128GB Flip 3 is €1,187.98, while a move up to the 256GB costs €1,250.01.
Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G and Z Fold3 5G are coming on August 11.
The OnePlus Nord2 5G debuted with a Dimensity 1200 SoC, 50MP main camera with OIS and 65W Warp Charge. It has a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED. The baseline 6/128GB model starts at €399/ INR 27,999, sales begin July 28.
The Poco F3 GT was also announced. Sporting similar specs to the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, the F3 GT packs a Dimensity 1200 chip, 67W charging, a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED, gaming triggers and a starting price of INR 25,999. Pre-orders begin July 24, while sales start on July 26.
Realme unveiled the GT Master Edition and GT Master Exploration Edition. The design inspiration for the two new devices comes from suitcases with ridged patterns complete with soft-touch leather. There are also more traditional frosted glass back versions.
The GT Master Exploration Edition comes with a curved 6.55-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The regular Master Edition dials back to a flat 6.43-inch panel which again uses Super AMOLED variety and sports a 120Hz refresh rate. Both phones also pack 32MP selfie cams and under-display fingerprint scanners.
Realme GT Master Edition comes in grey, white and gradient colors. Pricing starts at CNY 2,399 ($370) for the 8/128GB model while the 8/256GB trim goes for CNY 2,599 ($400).
Realme GT Master Exploration Edition comes in grey and apricot colors. It starts at CNY 2,799($432) for the 8/128GB trim and goes up to CNY 3,099 ($478) for the 12/256GB version. First sales in China are scheduled for July 30.
See you in a week!
Previously you can only do 1-for-1 trade-ins. And it doesn't have to be two phones - you can also send in your old tablet or smartwatch.
There's a switch that pops up a hardware shoulder key, plus advanced cooling for the Dimensity 1200 chipset, a 120 Hz OLED display and great audio.
The Mi Pad 5 will be Xiaomi's first 5G tablet and it will have the most powerful charging system so far.
There were conflicting reports from various analytics firms, but the latest scuttlebut confirms the initial report.
Until now we had only heard of the Gray Sierra and Blue Haze colorways (plus talk of a leather-backed special edition).
The two-year-old phone is getting both the new Android version and the new MIUI iteration at the same time.
