Just a day ahead of their unveiling, iQOO 8 and 8 Pro’s key specs leaked leaving pricing and availability as the only real intrigue for tomorrow’s event. The new leak confirms past rumors with the Pro model sporting the latest Snapdragon 888+ chipset while the vanilla opts for the regular Snapdragon 888. Both phones get up to 12GB LPDDR 5 RAM with 256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
iQOO 8 gets a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution while the Pro variant bumps up to a 6.76-inch E5 AMOLED panel and a 3200 x 1440p resolution. Both feature 120Hz refresh rates and 10bit colors. Another difference comes in the battery department where the Pro packs a 4,500 mAh cell while the vanilla model gets a slightly smaller 4,350 mAh battery. Both phones support 120W fast wired charging which is said to take 19 minutes for a full recharge. iQOO 8 Pro also gets 50W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless top-ups.
The Pro also holds the edge when it comes to cameras, packing a 50MP main shooter with OIS and five-axis stabilization alongside a 48MP ultrawide snapper and a 16MP portrait cam. The vanilla model opts for a 48MP main sensor next to a 13MP ultrawide module and a 13MP portrait lens. Both phones feature 16MP selfie cams house in punch hole cutouts.
