Another week down, and it was a busy one so let's recap. Samsung's Unpacked event brought us the new and improved Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G, the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic and the Galaxy Buds2.
The new foldables have Snapdragon 888 processors, waterproof bodies and 120Hz displays all-round (not counting the 1.9-inch cover display on the Flip3). The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G brings S Pen support and an under display camera.
The Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are Wear OS 3 devices with the ability to measure your Body Composition. The Galaxy Buds2 have active noise cancelling and a new design. All of Samsung's new devices ship globally on August 27.
Xiaomi unveiled the Mix 4 with a 20MP under display camera, Snapdragon 888+ chip, 120W charging and a 108MP main camera. Mix 4 starts at CNY 4,999 ($770) and goes up to CNY 6,299 ($970) for the 12/512GB model. First sales in China are scheduled for August 16.
Honor unveiled the GMS-equipped Magic3 series with IMAX cinematic video recording and 66W charging. The phones support 3D LUT color grading profiles and recording video in LOG format. Plus the Magic3 has a SD888, while the Pro has the SD888+. Magic3 Pro comes in Golden Hour, Black and White colors and goes for €1,099. Both phones launch in China first with global availability to be detailed later on.
Finally, it was discovered that Google's Pixel 6 series will use a Samsung GN1 50MP sensor as a main camera, when the pair arrives this fall.
