As hinted by a tweet from earlier today, Realme is gearing up to release a new phone and we just so happened to get a few more details in our mailbox. It's called Realme Flash and it will debut the brand’s MagDart wireless magnetic charger - a first in the Android realm.
Similar to Apple’s MagSafe tech, Realme MagDart will clip onto the back of the device and pump out an undisclosed amount of power. Realme’s solution is physically larger than what we’ve seen from Apple and does include a fan to help keep thermals in check meaning we could see speeds that exceed 15W here.
The charger also packs a USB-C connector. We’ve previously seen a smaller puck-shaped magnetic charger which has a built-in cable and is believed to offer 15W charging speeds.
Realme Flash sports a curved screen with a punch hole cutout in the top left corner. The back features a triple camera setup while the internals include a Snapdragon 888 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The software side is covered by Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. Expect more details on Realme Flash and MagDart soon.
